BJ’s Bingo Helping the Community

BJ’s Bingo Helping the Community

These are difficult times for us all. As the current situation continues to impact every aspect of our day-to-day lives, here at BJ’s Bingo we are struck by one indisputable truth – together, we can get through this.

The first step we took, before the official lockdown, was to close our bingo halls. Nothing is more important to us than the safety and good health of our staff, bingo players, and the wider community that we depend on.

We’ll be back before you know it. In the meantime, stay safe out there (indoors, of course!) and keep an eye on our website and social channels for the latest updates.

Foodbank Egg Donation

As the local community surrounding all of our bingo halls give so much all year round, we wanted to give something back. There is nothing more effective in times of adversity than people pulling together and helping each other out, especially those in need.

To achieve exactly this, prior to the lockdown we decided to donate a van load of Easter eggs to Atherton & Leigh Foodbank. These will go towards feeding those who need it most during this trying period, and perhaps even put some more smiles on faces.

Foodbanks are a vital resource in normal circumstances, so they became even more crucial in the lead up to lockdown procedures. Pictured below, you can see Alan Clinton, Assistant Manager of our Leigh hall, donating the treasure trove of treats. Atherton & Leigh Foodbank were kind enough to give us a shoutout on twitter, but really, the pleasure was all ours.

Thumbs up from Alan with a van full of Easter eggs
